Intermittent Fasting?


 A controversial topic since it encourages us to break the most important rules of the holy book of weight loss. You know the rules!
 
      *Never ever skip breakfast (skipping it! "say what?!")
      *Eating 6 small meals a day ( Im only eating 2-3 meals. "wait! hold up!")

Trust me when I first heard of IF, I was like "okay honey ummm... you got yourself deep into some sort of eating disorder and now people are giving it a scientific name to cover it up!! Child please call 1800-I-NEED-HELP asap!" At the same time I was beyond curious! So I went and research and when I say researched I mean like days and days of reading up on this topic that had me hooked I was completing intrigued! The more and more I read up the more it all made sense.

Whats intermittent fasting anyways?
   *You will fast for 18 hours and have a 6 hour window to eat your daily calorie intake.
   *In the fasting period you should be drinking plenty of water and can take pre work, tea coffee

How Does Intermittent Fasting Work?
 After all my researching, the one sentenced that helped me understand this dieting pattern was the one that was the simplest of them all.

"During the Fasted State, your body doesn't have a recently consumed meal to use as energy, so it is more likely to pull from the fat stored in your body, rather than the glucose in you blood stream or glycogen in your muscles/liver."

Meaning your body is only burning fat! (ON THAT NOTE: You'll have not be eating for up to 48hours for your body to actually start burning muscle! so yes your body is simply burning fat) bye bye inner thighs!! hello flat belly hello abs for days hello sexy mama!!

This is my schedule guys!

 start eating at noon till 6ish sometimes 7 I try to keep it closer to 6

  meal #1: sautéed mushrooms with lots of veggies and quinoa and avocados
                    green smoothie: berries pineapples mango almond milk (call this my desert)

  meal #2: fruits and raw almonds

  meal #3: egg whites with tuna spinach tomoatoes onions and peppers, and lots of veggies.


Note: Im drinking lots of water through out the day about a gallon.

Workout Schedule

I start to workout around 10:30am depending on my schedule with work. (drink coffe or pre work)
 45min cardio ( I do stair-master or Run)
25min of lifting (I don't give myself a lot of rest time in between sets)
So all of this I do it while fasting.
 

I wanted to make this post very clean and simple and purposely not adding too much information and leaving you aching for more facts on IF ! So go ahead google it and see if this is something for you. I diffidently do not think IF is everyone but Im on my first week and it seeems to be working for me!  I will be making a video every week about my progress so please check out my channel at www.youtube.com/chiribliss and also where I will be answering most of the questions you guys have if any!
